sup guys?
i just ordered a spotter to do my shampooing. is there anyone out there who prefers to shampoo by hand? will i really save time by doing it with an extractor? how about air movers? keep in mind i am mobile. input apprieciated.

Hey there,

I own a Mytee HP100 carpet extractor and absolutely love it...it is much faster and does a better job than scrubbing by hand (also saves on the knuckles...)
The extractor actually lifts the dirt and grease out of the carpet...scrubbing by hand only moves the dirt around in the carpet.

I also have an air mover that I bought from Irene at Top Of The Line...it works great...it has two uses...drying interior carpet & quick drying the exterior of the vehicle (set it on a table in front of the vehicle, turn it on...and walk away.)

The extractor would probably have to be mounted on a trailer...but the air mover is portable so you could take it anywhere.

Hope I could be of some help.
No water spots are left on the vehicle either.

Most extractors lift most of the water back out so it only leaves the carpet damp to the touch. Combine that with a air mover it can have the carpets dry in half the time doing them by hand with a wet dry vac.

Hey there,

IMO, the extractor is a must have for anyone detailing alot of vehicles.
I usually spray some pre-spotter on the carpet...let sit for about 5-10 minutes...then scrub them.
Next, I use the extractor to lift the dirt and grease out of the carpet.

Have you already ordered the air mover...if so, where from?
