I dont know if a generator would run it or not as it does take two power cords to run. There is a "Circuit locator bypass" button on the machine that will allow it to operate on one circuit, but I would think you would need a good 20A service to run it at that point.



Nice to have instant 212 degree water. Well they say instant, but I will usually spray into my supply tank until I feel it get hot. (About 8 to 10 seconds)



I purchased mine through Pro Car Beauty Products for 2195.00 and they through in a Pullman Holt Vacuum that retails for around 400.00! Good deal in my book! :D

Thank you every last person for your advice and your experience with different units. I'm just starting out so I have no clients and can't push to buy a $2300 unit to start off with. I know you should go with the best so you don't have to buy twice. I just have to make sure I have money to fall back on and that will be taking away from that budget. With that said I'm not trying to cut corners as you will be able to see in my van once I feel its time to post pics. I decided to go with the mytee lite II 8070 haven't purchased yet this week got a little busy at work plus I just made the final decision today. My question again is will I be able to use this unit with my generator or is it something that will have to be hooked up to a house outlet. Again thank you everybody that chimed in

Ironic. In about about half as many years I have replaced everything in my Mytee 8070 at least once. It cleans pretty well too....



So I am pretty fed up with the down time and was going to buy a 150 psi, heated Sensei on Monday. I am mobile but carry plenty of power to operate one. My restriction is weight- I'd like to keep the machine under 75 lbs, dry. Would you recommend staying away based on your experiences? PM if you'd rather.

So would you advise me not to buy this unit I didn't know that they were breaking down on people I thought they were well built. I thought Jimmy Buffit was just saying that if I was doing alot of extracting in a day I would want bigger.



Somebody give a responce that own this unit and used it for a while. Thats why were a community I need help

It is my interpretation that Jimmy was saying that while the Sensei machines work well, they also had their share of down time. He has a fixed location with adequate electrical wiring to support a unit that consumes more power. You are mobile and generating power is going to be an issue thus limiting compatible machines. I run my 8070 off of a 5000W-plus generator and have no issues.



Maybe I am answering my previous post here.... I am going to guess that any extractor is going to have it's share of down time when being used on a daily basis. Being in Santa Barbara, my service/repair options are very limited as the closest service center is now an hour away and usually operates on a four day turnaround. My motivation for a second machine is to eliminate down-time all together.



As I stated, the 8070 works very well. The amount of moisture that is pulled is sufficient in my climate; inside is usually dry by the time I finish the exterior. YRMV. The cleaning products you employ and your pre-treatment process is just as important as a fully operating machine. This is the only extractor I have used but could not imagine using anything with less lift, psi or heat.



Find a local retailer/service center, speak with them regarding your needs and see what they have to offer. If they can provide you with a loaner during repairs, you've got it made. At the very least, you have a face to speak to a short distance away.
 
It is really all about the amount of usage the machine receives, and that is determined by the amount of cars you do. All machines have a limited life, some are just longer than others. You'll be fine with the Mytee or the Sensei. As you grow, expect to replace them, in time.



I always stress to purchase these items locally, so that when you require service, they'll be there for you. Trust me, downtime sucks!

thanks that sounds great thank both of you I will look into this week for local. I really hope I could find a place even if I buy the unit cheaper offline I will have a place to get it repaired. Again thank you guys alot
