Had a customer call me earlier in the week about some floor mats in his cars along w/ a 1x1 ft section in his minivan. Overall the mats were in moderate>poor condition. The section in the van had some good spotting, but he wasnt sure what from. So I took out the arsenal and went to work. Heres my method and what i used. No pics of the interior of van, sorry, but that turned out like new
Used:
Pet Hair Puller
Shop Vac
Prochem ultrapac
Carpet/Upholstery Brush
Terry Rags
Prochem dry slurry in mytee lite II
Started w/ a quick vac, then used the pet hair puller. Even if theres no pet hair, I still like to use it to pull up loose fibers and loosen some dirt that pops up. Vacuum again, the pretreated w/ ultrapac. Let it dwell for a few while the extractor warmed up. Hit it w/ the upholstery brush and rags, the presprayed lightly again. Then attacked it w/ a few passes of the extractor.
Owner was very happy w/ results
