Carpet Cleaning Extraction - Overwetting/Heat

New to carpet extraction. Have some chemicals and machine on it's way..........

I plan to pretreat with TLC , let it dwell for 15-20 and then extract/rinse.

I'm going to expect the chemicals & Heat do play a integral role in how clean the carpet gets.

Proper chemical treatment (marriage of chemical to stain/area) being treated as well.

Would it be of any benefit if after letting the pretreat dwell, prior to extraction, I used my steamer with the ~triangle brush~ and ran some extra hot steam/agitation on it prior to extraction with my steamer ?

Do you ~brush back~ the carpet while it's wet or when it's dry.

Area of my car have a very short pile-tweed type fabric and you rub it everso the wrong way, and it starts to velvet.

I always use my Vapor Steamer prior to extraction. It really supercharges the cleaning solution. Then a fresh water extraction. No chemicals in the tank. This helps reduce residue left behind in the carpet. A quick brush and vacuum just prior to delivery should be good.
