Carpet Brush for a Makita 9227?

I've done a little bit of google work and so far I have come up with the following:

Brushes for a Cyclo

Brushes for a PC

I have a PC and a Makita 9227 Orbital Polisher. I personally think that the direct orbital polisher would have more RPM to clean better than the PC D/A polisher. Does anyone make a carpet/apolstry brush for the makita? I have a hook and loom backing pad already on it.

Thanks,

Randy

I don't think anyone makes one

IMO it would kill carpet in no time

but if you want just get the 4" velcro for the PC

and a small BP for your Makita and there you have it

I have set of brushes for my DA. I does just fine on most stains. I am not sure I would want to use high revs on carpet. If you start pulling fibers out or melting the carpet, It will be a PITA and $$$$ to replace.

The brushes for the PC are the same ones for the Cyclo. They have the same thread and everything. ;)

I'd be VERY cautious about using a brush on a high speed machine. The PC does a great job at cleaning with a brush and I think if you used a faster machine you could easily rip apart carpet and upholstery with it.

Also, I dunno just how well the uni-directional action of the rotary would be for this compared to the ~random action of a PC/Cyclo

People *do* use big rotary-action machines when shampooing carpets, but those aren't necessarily doing the same thing (functionally speaking) that a rotary *polisher* would do  :nixweiss

We have one on a rotary. I don't know who makes it, but it is made of wood and has black bristles. It just screws onto the rotary head. It works very very well.
