Carnuba waxes

ForceFed4, Kartoon,

Thanks for the response;). Shame about the product separating. Personally, I use the Mothers carnauba paste wax, which is fractionally more difficult to apply and remove, but more durable and a deeper gloss. I recently tried a friends Mothers liquid carnauba (the product that offended your car) and found a small number of granules in the liquid - small, but there.

Its funny that you (and others throughout Autopia) classify the Mothers products as "cheap" price-wise (quality too?) Here in Australia we don't have the huge spectrum of products that are available to the US. Here the top of the range is AutoGlym, Meguiars and Mothers, and Mothers is slightly more expensive than Megs! For example, GC wax is about AU$35 and Mothers GC carnauba paste wax is close to AU$50! Never seen Zaino, Zymol, Pinnacle, Souvaren, etc. And don't get NXT, #16, and just got Reflections.

Kartoons' closing remarks seem even more valid in OZ than in the US.

I really like Mothers products:cool: - are they really that ordinary? :shocked

This is only my opinion but I would have to say yes.

There are products that offer better looks (this is always subjective though) and products with better durability. In either case they will probably cost more.

The good thing for Mothers is that they are available in many local stores (at least in US) and are relatively inexpensive.

~One man’s opinion / observations ~

NXT Tech Wax, NXT spray Wax (this combo seems to help with durability) P21S is as good as they get or ‘spring' for Pinnacle Signature Series Wax

~Hope this helps~
