I know some of you might think I am nuts but this last weekend I was detailing my car and tried melting a high quality carnuba wax before putting it on the car. To be clear I was an old can of wax and the weather was very cold. I was having a hard time transfering the wax to the application pad. So never one to not experiment I tried melting the wax with a lighter applied to the bottom of the can. It melted into a clear liquid, ie like clarified butter, which I then soaked up into the pad and applied to the paint using a wax on wax off process. The end result seemed to produce a very nice finish. Better than just the wax cold. Did I inhale to much fumes or has anyone else ever tired this.
