Carnauba wax with Flex 3401?

Hello all. Over the years I've always applied waxes and sealants by hand, but now am thinking about ordering a Flex 3401 to do some very minor paint correction as well as applying waxes and sealants. I recently bought some Dodo Juice Supernatural carnauba wax (as well as some other carnaubas and sealants) but am wondering if it is a good idea to apply these with a buffer? Or should a buffer only be used for paint correction? I've heard mixed opinions and am wondering what you all think? Any opinions? Thanks!

I only apply waxes/sealants with a machine. OP, the 3401 with a soft pad will save you $$$ and headache. The layer is very even and thin. With harder waxes, spray the pad with water or QD before starting.

....a 3401 seems a bit overkill (cost-wise) if you don't really need it for correction and are mainly going to use it to apply waxes/sealants. Personally, I have both a PC 7424 and a Flex but typically use neither for the application of last-step-products.

Definitely use a machine of some kind. You will use much less product and will be able to apply it much faster and more evenly.

I really, *really* like using my Cyclo for waxing, but I agree with Kean that the Flex 3401 seems like overkill. But if you like the way it handles, and don't let it get too aggressive (in the cases where it could matter), then sure...do what you like.

But note that some LSPs seem to work a lot better/worse via machine, at least IME. Guess there are a scad of variables, so YMMV once again.

Hmm...wonder how the 3401 would be for buffing the wax off with MF bonnets  In that case the added power from the forced rotation might be beneficial...might have to try that next time if my Meg's Ultimate Bonnets are still up to the task (they're wearing out kinda fast).
