Carnauba seems almost dry

Is it okay to add a little cold water to Carnauba paste wax? Mine is about 7 months old

lid has been on tight but it's hard to get any on damp cloth, so would it be okay to do this? :thx

What wax are you having problems with? I doubt that water would mix with the hard paste; you'll just wind up with water sitting on or around the wax. You might try to heat it up a bit by placing it in a bowl or pan of hot water. You could also take something like a putty knife and see if scraping a bit off the top will expose some fresh (softer) wax.



Carnauba in raw form is a hard substance that needs to be processed with various oils, solvents, etc. to make it soft enough to use.

Thanks for the tip. I will place it in a pan of water.

I never thought about scraping the top layer off, I'll try this first.
