Don't be too disappointed. For some reason I always thought the 476 tin had a larger opening than my tin of 885. My friend and fellow Autopian in town, Casey, was showing me his supplies and he had accidentally ordered both 476 and 885. Except for the 885 being taller the tins were the same size :nixweiss
 
I do agree the Cyclo, or DA seems to get better coverage than hand with less work. This thread reminds me how much of a freak we are that we need to discuss how we get the wax out of the container. WE ARE ALL NUTS !
 
I used my AAA membership card to scrape a little wax outta the container and then on to the pads of the Cyclo last week. Natty's Red, a smallish mouthed container. The narrow side of the card fit the mouth of the jar perfectly, and it spread the wax evenly on the pads.



If I'd have been doing the bike I'd probably have used my American

Motorcyclist Assoc. card.:D
 
How about melting it down and puttting the wax in a deoderant (spelling) applicator such as ban. The ones you turn wheel on bottom. Just a idea.

If you're storing it *inside the tin*, keep an eye on it. I kept a plastic razor blade inside my tin of (pre-VOC) 476S until I noticed that it was looking sorta melted, presumably from the solvents.
