Carnauba durability better I feel?

But then "durability" isn't as simple a thing as it might first appear; do we mean beading/sheeing, or slickness, or shine, or...what? Whenever *any* characteristic that I value drops off, I consider the LSP in need of refreshing, but somebody else might think it's still fine.

Bingo. Could not have stated it better.:werd:

I inspect whatever vehicle I or my wife drives after every use and have done so for over 40 years. 30 of those years was under the protection of carnuabas and the last 10 with sealants.

No problem with "permanent" etching from bird dropping or waterspots.

Timely attention and removal (same day) is the best method for alleviating permanent environmental damage. Depending on a protectant of any type to solve this problem completely beyond its sacrifical period (hours) is foolhardy at best. IMHO

Yes, I know that something is fundamentally wrong, when a sealant performs like that. However, I'm getting results which are usually on the longer side of life/protection with most products (3-4 months with NXT paste, 4-5 months with #21, more than a stable half a year from 885, CL68/LLS, 2180/1000P, etc.) yet on this car, everything sucks.

One little spray with the windshield washer, and the roof starts to pool immediately. The paint itself looks good and glossy, but the protection is going away extremely quickly.

I opine similarly, and as I mentioned, I've experienced heavy water spotting on fresh Zaino with relatively short sprinkler exposure, yet none with layered carnaubas.

You may laugh at me but when I do a Pwc blue and a Natty blue x2, I get excellent durability. Sometime I wonder if there is more to it than a carnuba wax.

I don't know if one day they will stop making Carnauba wax? I hope not. As I still like it than sealants. Don't know maybe I'm just old fashion.

I notice when I go to car washes. If I apply sealant, after a car wash my car surface would be squeaking. But with carnauba it tends to withstand a couple of car wash at my local area. I know that their shampoo are not so good quality & stronger but sometimes after the rain my car is very dirty. So after work & tired, I just take it to the car wash centre. I only have time detail myself over the weekend. :dance
