Just a few questions:
I usually use warm water in a bucket until Spring.
In the spring / summer does everyone use hose temp water in a bucket? It did seem warmer water might be a better choice but not always fun walking through the house to get it.

Do you normally go on the heavier side of soap per gallon of water. I measure everything which I may stop doing.
Poorboys advises 1 oz for every two gallon for Super slick and suds (and wax). Sometimes I feel washing soaps don't have enough lubricity with the suggested ratios. I guess I might want to see how my water hardness is too.
Any suggestions.
 
I used the "glug glug glug method"

Now I measure, might add a touch to adjust for hard water, but that's it
 
In the summer I'll usually run the water free onto the plants before starting just to remove any water in the lines that's hot then use hose temp. But when its hot I usually don't two bucket wash because it'll water spot or etch before I can get to drying it. I only measure when it's easy. The Pro Proportioner connectors are awesome I just throw one on my ONR bottle then another for gallon sizes. Other than that I usually guesstimate for mixed bottles like UWW.
 
I wouldn't be fanatical about it, at least as long as the shampoo is relatively LSP-friendly. While I do measure my foamgun shampoo-mix via "number of pumps" on the dispensers, back when I was just using the TBM I did it by eye (which is still how I do it for my shampoo buckets, but those don't factor in to the wash all that much in my case).
 
I measure soap and water by electronic balance and measuring cylinder.
My office has these labware.
 
I use the hose as much as I can since it is separately metered from the house and I don't pay sewage on it. The only time I use hot water is if I am doing a rinseless over the winter or maybe the first couple washes in early spring when there is still a little bite in the air.

I use the 1 oz. pump dispenser on most of my gallons. For my DG901, I use 1 oz. per gallon so 4 pumps for 4 gallons.
 
I will use warm water when it is cold out and I don't want to freeze. But in the summer I will simply fill my bucket up 3/4 with water and let it sit in the sun. It usually warms up in 20-30 min. This gives me time to get all my other stuff ready and wash the wheels.

I have 1oz pumps in my gallons so that helps. But the small stuff I do measure out. (Not really critical on exact amounts) But its more because I found I was shorting myself on my soap mix and couldn't bring myself to fill it with the few extra glugs.
 
Well I added an ounce of SS&S to the Super Slick and wax. I think the SS&W doesn't have the lubricity of SS&S.
Also added a capful of CG Hose free eco wash.
How else can I use up a gallon of that since I'm not into waterless washing..
anyone ever try that.
It actually looks like it added more gloss.
 
I always measure precisely and rarely alter the dilution. I thought CG Maxi Suds was a little weak at spec'ed dilution so did double that.

I fill my buckets with water directly from our hot water heater since it has a tap on it. After mixing soap and water, I let my Montana boar's hair brush sit in the water 30-45 minutes until I'm ready to wash paint and glass. The first thing I do (on a thorough wash) is wash the wheels, tires, and wheel wells.

I use the gallon pumps on gallon containers and have used four to five ounces of Blackfire soap with about four gallons of water. But now that I just looked at the product page, which recommends one ounce of soap to three gallons of water, I'll cut back to just two ounces. Blackfire soap is the best I've ever used (out of about six others).

I have about a half-gallon of Blackfire soap left. If there's anyone in my area who'd like to try it, contact me and I'll pour you a bottle. It leaves a very nice shine, rinses quickly, and has its own drying agents.
 
Jaddie- Is the BF shampoo still kinda tough on LSPs? Mine was, but that must've been...gee...maybe ten years ago (or longer) when it first came out.
