Car wash/Wax or sealant

Have my car(black 09 camry) washed 2 to 3 times a week for business. Whats the best wax ,or sealant to use after all the detergent. How many times a month or whatever.Thanks PM
 
This one is personal preference. I prefer Four Star UPP topped with P21S, but thats just me. Here in FL I recommend to my clients that we reapply sealants every 3 months.
 
Are you saying you bring it thru a tunnel wash 2 or 3 times per week? You're probably not going to have any LSP left after that, not to mention after a few weeks it's going to look like you brilloed it.
 
pattieman- In your (regrettable) situation, I'd lean towards Collinite wax. Do a cleaner-wax or a very easy-to-use polish first. It might work better than some here might think.



Much as I love UPP on the S8 (and other waxes/sealants on other vehicles) this one is a very specific situation.
 
I second Accumulator. Collinite would provide the most durable protection in this case. It sounds like that this is either a business vehicle that probably sees many miles/clients and run through many automated washes.
 
For the polish, something that works by hand like 1Z Paint Polish or Autoglym SRP would do a little something before the wax. It could even be applied after running the car through the carwash. Yeah, I know, hardly "Autopian" but better than nothing. That SRP would be almost as easy as wiping on/off the wax.

I dunno...sealants (incl. Z5) always seem to need a pretty well-prepped finish to look good in my eyes, whereas the SRP/Collinite combo can look OK even on something that's awfully marred up. I somehow don't see this vehicle as ever being "properly" prepped so I'd rather go with a more forgiving combo.



That's not a bash at Zaino, I'm just trying to figure out what'll look best on a marred black car :think:

Beats me, seriously. I can hardly ever evaluate a vehicle over the internet. That's not a slam at your car by any means, so please don't take it the wrong way.



Unless I see something like a flash picture taken in an otherwise dark room, I just can't say if paint is marred or not :nixweiss



But I will say that I've seen very nice showcars fresh from a five-figure paintjob that were marred up something *awful* (IMO) by one gentle hand wash by a "pro", so most any black car on the planet is probaly gonna have marring.
 
No harm done, If u mean marred is swirl marks , then its marred. Hopefully a correction and then ONR or hand wash will help me out. Thanks PM:buffing:

Yeah, that's what I meant by "marred".



I'd figure out what you're gonna do for the regular, maintenance washes. That oughta factor in when you decide what prep/protection to do.
