little b@stard was going through some type of seeds trees above where my car was parked. I come out and am greeted with about 30 little sap stains and a fat squirrel turd on my hood. This is after I spent 4 hours making the car spotless.

On recommendation of severeal members I have tried alcohol, but it is just not c oming off. I have done everything short of spit and a fingernail to get it off. ( i i tred clay but that made it worse.) My hood is not in good shape and this car is 4 months old. Help me plese:yay

Are these those dots about size of the ball in a ball point pen? Black in color but when picked off it's more purple red. If so only luck I've had was picking them off with my nail and then claying the spot. Some come off in a couple passes, others take much longer.

try a paint cleanser. I like meguires deep crystal stuff, it works well. Im sure there are other paint cleansers that would work as well. I have foudn when its not a resonale option to clay the clanser helps. Also becasue its so big it may mak e it smaller and eaiser to clay. Some picks would really help
Good luck

ohh ya it may take 3 or 4 passes with the cleanser so dont give up after one try

I HAD zaino on the hood, can I kiss all that stuff good bye? So do the cleanser and then reapply?

the cleanser will be the least of your wories on the Zaino, the sap is gonna casue some spots so itll have tpo be clayed and polished before it looks new again. So wit the clenser you put it on a terry cloth and apply let sit for 30seconed (i mnot sure the exact time but i use 30) then with a clean terry cloth wipe it off. itll work well. Then do it a couple times untill the sap is gone. I have some sap, tar, sick stuff on one of my painted mud flaps and clay was not helping. it took 6 treatments with the clenaser and then once over with the clay and it looked good as new so good luck.

just picked up some goo gone, is this worth trying?

How do you guys clay? It seems wherever I use the clay it leaves some marks. I spray with diluted car wash and then run over the area a few times?

use a stronger wash solution then, i always use a good detail spray as a lube, if your going to use diluted car soap i would mix it strong (15to 1) 15 water. in a bottle ans spray it on, make sure its well meed though.. As to goo gone ya its woth a shot, worst thing is it wont work adn you wasted a couple bucks no biggy.

I don't know about goo gone, but you could try vinegar, or possibly WD40 would work, that may remove some of your LSP so you might want to reapply some.

As for clay I generally clay while washing my car so it really is only a car wash solution that is being used, but if I am spot claying I use Poorboy's S&W

Which grade of clay did you work with? Mild or aggressive ? Was sufficient lube used? Did you 'rub' with the clay or just glide the clay along?

If it was me, I would clean with something solventy first- PB's propolish? ...if you don't have that I would suggest something like ScratchX or mild polish .

Good luck

I just went threw this with a black jag and what worked for me was 3M adhesive remover....the sap in this case was stuck to the car only my finger nail would get it off...I late wondered if bug squash would have done the same.

I have these wire traps and inside is a spring plate, that when the squirrel steps on, it slams the door shut. Harbor Freight is where I got them, about $20. I have caught about 12 squirrels, a rabbit, a bird and a skunk. Yep, all in my back yard. They were meant for a humane "catch and release" and that is just what I do....except I am not going to say WHERE I release them to...let's just say that the trap gets washed everytime I re set it. enough said.

p.s. I let the bird go free. The rabbit actually came right out of the squirrel hole.

have used the deep crystal sysem but none of this seems to be working. The sap stains are firmly on the paint now and show no signs of coming off, what can I do?
