Car opinion, I'm torn!

The Z is incredibly reliable IMHO. If you dont own one , you really shouldnt be talking about it. Also, you probably have no clue as to what "Fairlady Z" is either... To each their own I suppose.

Well, I'm glad the "Z" is "incredibly reliable" IYHO!! Is that based on your own personal love of the car, or, as in my case, the information and statistics gleaned from various major American AND Japanese publications, along with consumer guides and views and opinions available on the internet, both "overseas" and in Japan.

As for your non-sensical comment "Also, you probably have no clue as to what "Fairlady Z" is either... To each their own I suppose." , I really don't know what you mean. Every Nissan "Z" car in Japan since the original 280Z has been called the "Fairlady" : "280 Fairlady Z", "300 Fairlady Z", and now the "350 Fairlady Z", etc. I do have a clue what it is: a DUMB NAME for a sports car!! That's why the REAL name of the car hasn't been exported to the U.S., just like the Nissan Sunny (Sentra), Nissan Bluebird (Altima), etc., etc. (and not only Nissans, either). Maybe your embarrassment with that point motivated your slightly unbalanced post. . . :scared:

leave the civic alone. you wont be gaining too much with a modded civic.....it'll still be just a civic!!!

i like the s2000 idea,, but what about searching around for a nice NSX, C5, or a little Boxter??!!

Remember that video that someone linked to a couple weeks back of the Saturn spanking the Corvette? A well modded Civic is a sleeper and cheap as all hell to insure. Since for the most part one would be using Honda parts it should also be reliable as well.

Buy a NSX or Porche??? Omg I wish I could afford that lol. I'm a social worker, so even though the pay is good, it ain't that good lol. A S2000 or 350Z is much more in my price range. Although I might as well grab my ankles and lube up when insuring it. :grinno:

yeah, but judging by your two choices (350Z and an S2000) I figured I had your budget figured out!!!!

picking up a used Boxter, or a C5 vette shouldnt be that much out of range!!

they've become relativeley cheap (i guess i'm talkin around the 2001-2002 models)
