Car cover after paint?

I had the left front fender painted on the TT a little over a month ago. I just used Zaino on it for the first time since then. We'll be leaving for a few days and I would like to put the car cover on in the heated garage while we're gone...3 days at most. Kids and dogs are still home. Is it safe to cover it after painting? There are no horizontal surfaces on the fender. The cover wouldn't lay on the fender, but next to it. The cover is an Audi factory cover.

If the car and the cover are both clean, I see no reason why you can't. It'll keep the dust off. I guess you're doing it to keep the dogs and kids off the car? You're better off locking the garage......:D
 
I suggest you ask the painter. When I had a Porsche repainted a few years back, the painter recommended no car cover for 90 days. Depends on the paint, etc., but better safe than sorry.
