Car antenna maintenance

Hi there

I would like to ask anyone out there if they can tell me what is the best way to keep a car's radio antenna lubricated so that it does not stick up and cost me a whole lot of money to replace?

Many thanks
Ravi

1st wipe of any dirt while the antenna is up and then hold a rag behind the antenna and give a little spray with WD-40 the purpose of the rag is to keep overspray from getting on the car, or put a couple drops of 3in 1 oil, turn the radio off a couple X so the entire antenna is properly lubed. it works for me and and no problems in the last 5 years.

I loaded up an oil can with Synthetic 10W-40. I use that in a lot of places and nothing I've used it on has stuck yet. You've got to be sure that you don't get it everywhere, it wants to spread out.

I would think that you might want to use dielectric(sp) grease! But Ive never had a power antenna but I have never had a power antenna so! Just a thought.
