canopy choice,is this a good one?

We have the 10x10 version. It is about three years old now, and we are quite happy with it.

Good Luck.

size doesnt matter quality does, just like details. get your car detailed for 99 or you can go with my company for 190 and you will see the difference.

ill telll you guys how it is when i get it. It will be used almost everyday since this is my full time job. For a 100 bucks the thing cant be that good, but who knows. I wish i could have seen this canopy before hand,it never hurts to save a buck. Thanks for the replies.

I have been using the 10x10 EZ-Up for the last year and I cannot wait to get a nicer quality canopy. I have been eyeing the Caravan model at Costco but wanted something closer to 12x14 and 60lbs :) 10 feet is rough to work around, never covers more than half the vehic and the integrity of the EZ is sleezy. Yeah, it was cheap. . . like $80 out the door and it served a purpose for a year or so but :grinno: you get what you pay for.

Check out the full lines of models at Caravan or KD Canopy's website.

The quality of these canopys definitely appears directly propotional to their cost. I would not recommend skimping to try to save a few bucks. I would be highly skeptical of the quality of anything in the ~ $100 price range if you are considering it for anything but occassional use.

I do not recommend getting the EZup "Sierra" version 12x12. The quality of the folding mechanisms used in this model is not good. I have since returned this and am looking for another canopy.

Get a commercial quality one and you'll be happy. Sams club has a EZ-up for just over $200 that is 10x10 and it's much better quality then the $80 ones. We use 10x10 canopies and they are just fine. Sometimes one side of the car will get hot depending on where the sun is but a larger canopy isn't really going to help that much. The products we use work pretty well in the sun (optimum polish, Zaino) so a little sun is no problem.

I've been using and EZ-up 10'x10' for a couple of years. I only use it a few times each year but it only cost $99. For my purposes it is OK but the length is insufficient for most cars. The 10'x20' model would be great. I think you will like it. However, I suggest getting the side curtains if they are available, and if not, you can rig something up yourself. The sun seldom shines directly down so most of the day you will be dealing with the sun as it is rising and setting.

I do as well. It rides shotgun in my Integra. It's easy enough and light enough for one guy to set up which is good cause I'm all I have.:D It was one of my best acquisitions last year and I wouldn't imagine that the larger one would be of any less quality.

Yes it’s a good idea!!! I would suggest a 10 x12 or a 12 x 12. IMO the 10 x10 is to cramped. With all the smog in OC isn’t it overcast all day? :)
