Cannot Remove Swils Using Menzerna and PC!!!

you will be able to remove most of them. The pc just doesn't have the forced drive to get deep down and round the edges of the scratches and swirls over to make them less visible or not visible at all. If anything the SIP will be the best polish for the pc regardless. I think the SIP comes with an orange pad too.

Get the SIP from autogeek and use it with the 5.5" orange pad that comes with it... its an awesome combo and I had ridiculously good results with it, and this is after not being able to get my swirls to budge at all using optimum compound. SIP definitely won't be too strong, it finishes last step product ready on a lot of colors. I wouldn't ignore the advice in this thread by getting IP...

I'm with him ^^^^^^ I have a Bonneville that I've found has very hard clear, and was having a hard time getting scratches out, but the SIP made easy work of it in one pass.

The regular IP is dusty and harder to work with. The SIP is just 100 times better and the overall gloss is much better. It's a genie in a bottle! There is nothing it will compare too, and I mean nothing! I am a correction guru and I'm always playing with different correction polishes and this is the king of the domain!

Before you run off, did you consider BF SRC FP instead of 106FF? :D

Why? 106 is cheaper in the long run and once he gets it he won't have use for his other "finishing" polishes.:D

Well, I haven't worked with 106FF yet, and have very little experience with BF SRC FP, but I hear they are very similar with maybe slightly better gloss from BF SRC FP. So, my logic was if there is no big difference in how they perform, and price per ounce is only slightly more for BF than 106FF ($1.68 vs. $1.56) he would be spending less to start by going with BF as it is available in 16 oz bottles ($26.95) while 106FF is available in 32oz only ($49.99) and if he is not doing this professionally it will take him very long time to go through even 16oz.

:nixweiss

What is your perspective?

Just about everyone here is addicted to keeping their car(s) looking their best. He will go through it fast enough. As I stated earlier, he won't be using the other "finishing" polishes once he gets going with 106.

While on that subject, how much of 106FF you spend on average on car size of, say, Supra?

Yea I thought about getting the BF SRC FP, and its local to me too. CMA is 10 minutes from my house....

But, the Menz is cheaper per ounce and Ive heard sooooo many good things about it. They say the BF FP is the same as 106ff, I have not used either so I cant comment but I think Ill just stick with 106 and like spoiledman said, I will have no need for anymore finishing polishes!

Does anyone wanna buy some SSR1? hehehe

I used an orange wolfgang pad (LC). You will not even need wool with this stuff. Another member came over my house with his car and he brought a foamed wool pad and we tried it with 3.02. Did great, but under halogens it did marr, but removed the defects easy from his black vette. The marrs came out with 3.02 on an orange pad. We should have taken pics..

Bummer to hear that the SIP and foamed wool left marring. : /

On the bright side, though, I'd just about be willing to bet that the combo of the foamed wool and SIP provided about PG level of correction without all the PG haze and swirls, right?

Oh, and SIP 3.02 with a yellow Edge 2000 wool pad is a-mazing. Huge correction ability with minimal marring.

Doh.. sorry for the thread high jack...

Are you saying that someone in the USA is carrying a product marketed as SIP that is actually PO85RD 3.02? I thought what we had in the states was 3.01 and that 3.02 was only available overseas.

It is the 3.01.

I ordered the 3.02 from the UK. The shipping is a fortune. The 3.01 works very similar and is $100 cheaper after you factor the shipping.

$100 difference! :soscared:

I could have sworn I was quoted about $40 shipping for a liter of PO85RD 3.02 and a liter of PO106FF from the UK. I didn't think that was too bad, given that the product itself is cheaper from the UK than it is from Detailers Domain in the US.

I know the Menzerna polishes at AG are cheaper but all the product numbers are different so I don't know which product is which from them. Does anyone know?

Mike

You were probably quoted 40 Pounds Sterling (about 80 bucks) for shipping. If it really was 40 bucks, I'd love to hear about it.
