Canadian winter washing

So it won't be long before winter will be upon us here in Canada.
I've already picked out my products.
KAIO and FK1000p.
Question is, I only can wash with touch less car wash. I realize they use more chemicals than the conventional "scratch my paint" roller car washes.
Just wondering how often I should use this service with this combo of AIO and sealant?
I can't wash the car myself in the winter as I have no garage, and the car is out in the elements at all times.
I commute 2 hours a day 4 days a week, plenty of salt and sand used up here.
(Maybe 4u2nvinmt can chime in also being in Canada)

sounds like your only recourse, other than the car wash is two five gallon buckets, hot water,a good rinseless wash mix, and a bunch of microfibers. I'm sure there's not too many days with temps above freezing in the winter for you guys. I would try to using spray waxes/sealants after the touchless wash if possible. do you have any of the pressure washer type of car washes available?
 
Can you not use a hand wash place - a wand wash? I live in Saskatchewan (doesn't get much colder than that in Canada!), and that's what I do - and as a bonus, if the car wash isn't busy, you can dry your car off afterwards, in the warmth of the car wash.

I live about 18 miles south of your border in Minnesota. Fk1000p is a real good LSP, I use it. I use a touchless car wash, wand type, when temps are upward of 25F or about -5c or warmer. I only wash about once every 2 weeks. When the temp drops a little more, around 5F or about -15c to -20c, I will go to the automatic touchless because I can blow dry the car. When the temps go below -0F I don't even bother washing until it warms up. We use a lot of salt here but when the temps go negative it is pretty dry and usually don't get salt build up. As long as no one is waiting to use the wand type stall I will go as far as drying my car inside. If someone is waiting or if I go to the auto wash I make sure and at least dry the door jams before hitting the road. I am fortunate to have a garage, not heated, but never had any luck with rinseless washes.
 
marinesoup- That's a tough situation you're in! IMO you're on the right track using the FK1000P, and I'd try to get some more layers on before the winter. Then just see how it holds up with whatever you have to do.

And I'd sure appreciate hearing how the FK1000P holds up under that kind of abuse!
