today while walking my dog i bump into my neighbor and he told me that some little kid pissed all over the infiniti's bumper and wheels 3 days ago. i went to check it out and i found some nasty smelly stains on it. im a little worried now that it mightve cause some kind of damage to the paint. i just washed the whole car down just in case. could there be any damage down to the paint?

:nono :nono ***? Where are this kids' parents? :nixweiss

OT, there was an episode of Nanny 911 a few weeks ago where this 3-4 year old boy would NOT pee anywhere in the house.

His mother would take him outside in the yard. Front yard, backyard, pool, sidewalk, it didn't matter. So the Nanny decorates the kid's bathroom to look like it's outdoors and has the older brother encourage him to use it. Worked like a charm.

Anyways, wear nitrile gloves and such when cleaning. Sorry I can't help you with the Q? about how this will affect the paint in the long term.

Kids peeing on bumpers, not cool. :down :down

Probably depends on what he has been eating/drinking.

If he has had a couple of beers the alcohol would strip Zaino. If he has been eating tomatos it would be like NJ acid rain.

OT, but is acid rain in Jersey that common? Is it because of all the chemical companies along the NJ Tnpk?

Anyway, if it's true those floods must be burning a hole right through the state.

no doubt.... around my neighborhood at late hours of the night, kids are walking around and up to no good (picking/throwing things at cars, etc..) boot camp is the answer, i say :usa

The acid rain strange as it may sound is spread by the jet stream pushing coal fired power plant emission from places like Ohio and westward. Our chemical plants only polute our groundwater. Being a big traveler for work I have to say our air is not bad at all, no where near as bad as say Houston or LA. People get a bad impression of NJ is they drive the NJ turnpike.

In short the acid rain is all accumulators fault. Of course most of this is a guess

Urine Stain:

May appear as a cloudy splash mark on the wheel surface, usually the wheel parked close to the kerb and caused by an animal marking its territory (or little boys for whatever reason). Urine contains Uric Acid and should be neutralised as soon as feasible as acid is a corrosive and will etch and discolour and/or stain the surface.

Methodology

â€Â¢Thoroughly rinse wheels with an alkaline wheel cleaner (P21S Wheel Cleaner)

â€Â¢Or an alkaline solution of baking soda/water.

â€Â¢Rinse thoroughly with low-pressure clean water

â€Â¢If necessary use a polish to restore the lustre of polished metal and prevent re-oxidation (Iz Einszett® Metal Polish "Chrompflege) and remove residue with a clean, dry micro fibre towel

â€Â¢Use a one-step product (Klasse All-In-One) to provide both cleaning and long-term polymer protection; this will also make future cleaning easier.

â€Â¢Apply with a damp applicator; remove residue with a clean, dry micro fibre towel, and finally buff surface to a shine.

Had a guard dog at worked that loved to pee on one of the wheels of my car, painted steel wheels. In short order that wheel was looking far worse than the others.

Too funny, at first I thought maybe you pisssed somebody off and they pissed on your car, never thought about a dog. I would remove it ASAP, probably acidic.

A dog pissed on my wheels once, Even though I rinsed it off 30 minutes later it etched my wheels. It took 3 applications of polish to get it out.

it wasnt a dog. a little 8 year old boy (according to my neigbor) pissed on the rear bumper and wheel of the infiniti. they HAD to pick the infiniti, not the crappy dull saturn next to it.

You can feel free to Knock NJ, as I left for work this morning at 0430 I found someone popped the lock on my BMW. Missing is my wallet and credit cards, all my ID and cash. They left my valentine one though, go figure.

Of course im leaving for Florida tomorrow...... By plane and then need a license to rent a car.

No less than three weeks ago while out looking for a suit for my Moms funeral some punk stole my jacket wich contained.... you guessed it my wallet, ID, credit cards and cash. My mom is still with us, if I told her this she would kill me

In todays theft they also got my Girls bday present, her bday is tomorrow. I will tell her it was a rolex.....

I really have no good info for anyone regarding this topic. I'm just getting a good chuckle as I read the posts on this thread. My main concern would be the acidity in the wee wee. ( another chuckle for me!) I'm guessing a good wash and a good polishing would be the first steps to take. Are there any washes that are "Pee-H" neutral?

I gotta go. ( oh...another chuckle)

Urine is acidic. Acids can and will etch your paint (Acid Rain) In addition urine produces ammonia when bacteria start working on the wastes contained in urine. Ammonia has corrosive properties in industrial concentrations. Avoid letting urine sit for long on your paint. Probably, it wont hurt anything because I am sure the dog was not big enough to urinate on a flat surface (drips off the vertical surfaces) of the car where the urine can puddle.... and if he is big enough that he did urinate on the flat surfaces, give the dog the car as a p***ing post and maybe he wont eat ya..... ;) Seriously, wax will protect your paint most likely.:xyxthumbs

it wasnt a dog. it was a little 8 yr old boy. i think the AIO and 2 coats of #26 i put on last month should protect it. there no stains left on the paint after the wash but i cant get the nasty stain off the tire. any suggestion? (tried eagle one a2z tire/wheel cleaner. stain still there)
