Can the Orange DAS pad get rid of 2000 grit paper marks ?

I'm asking cause I removed the spoiler and filled the trunk holes with fiberglass. Even though I used primer, it looks like the base / clear sank. You can see the outline of the repair and small dots here and there.

I'm wondering if sanding / polishing the clearcoat could get rid of that problem ? Since I don't have a rotary, I'd also like to know if my little PC with an Orange DAS pad and SFX-1 (both Sonus products) could clean up 2000 grit sanding marks ?

Thanks a lot !

The sink hole is probably too deep for you just to sand out. You really need to have the clear/paint build up. I would not risk trying to level that out as you'll might eat away the OE clear all of it away. As far as the orange pad and polish can remove 2000 grit sand marks as long as you work the product in until its almost dry. You may need two or three passes.

The whole car has been repainted, believe me, there is a LOT of clear on that trunk :p

By the way, when I say you can see the outline, you gotta be at the right angle. It doesn't really jump at you.

I'm happy to report that the problem has been solved !! Started wetsanding with 600 grit and worked my way down to 2000 before switching to the PC. I can't believe the results, I would've never thought this kind of problem could be eliminated by a first-time PC user :)
