Need some serious help...I have a black 94 supra which has been sitting in the garage, haven't been waxed or washed in very long time, as you can see in the pics. Ya kind of neglected, i been so busy lately. Gonna try to restore it to new condition with info on these forums.
The thing that annoys me is the bad paint mismatch between the rear bumper and fender on passenger side. It's been on my mind for long time, and now I want to get this fixed once and for all. I'm a noob with polishing and all that stuff, but I have been reading these forums religiously for past few days. As you can see, the rear bumper is a deep black compared to the fender, which appears almost milky white. I know it's dirty, but the fender still looks like that when washed and especially with bright light shining on it, its very noticeable. I never had it repainted, and previous owner said it was never repainted or anything like that (who knows).
The trunk matches the rear bumper, but it also gradually kind of fades out into the milky white look as you move to the top of the trunk. The driver side fender also matches the bumper, but i'm not sure where it gets milky white as you move from the driver side to the passenger side (it's one piece which runs to top of hatch to other side).
Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this problem? is this a paint problem? will polishing fix this? I really want to avoid a repaint. It's like the pigment just lost its color or something. It still feels smooth, glossy and no oxidation, just looks milky. Any help appreciated.
