just wondering if it is wise to do so.

i picked up some metal master metal polish but it just doesn't have enough cut to get the job done.

i used it with a megs burgandy pad on a pc at speed 6 by the way.

so tell me what you think!

A metal polish is going to be stronger than paint polish, so if the metal polish did not have enough cut, then neither will a paint polish.

Not enough bite with a Burgundy Megs pad? Yikes........... Actually, metal poishes are real heavy on the chemical side. I normally use my standard issue polishes on everything, plastic and metals/chrome. What do you have in your arsenal you COULD use?

well heres the problem, i just took off graphics on an oil tanker and even after polishing there are still ghost images left.

the metal polish did a great job removing scratches and brightend up the metal, but pretty much all the area's that weren't protected by the vinyl graphics got really chewed up and pitted, so you can still see where the graphics used to be.

as for polish, the stongest i have is ssr2.5. for metal polish i have metal master, and mothers mag & aluminum polish.

it looks like the only real way to get rid of all the pitting is to wetsand, but i would like to avoid that by allll costs.

suggestions????
