it got sprayed a year ago by a professional respray place. farking bad job :down the second pic is where they supposedly welded a new plate in to repair some bad rust. looks like bad bodyfiller to me.. and the door was perfect before i sent the car in to get sprayed :down :furious:

it cracked like that less than a month after i had it done :furious: , so i took it back and they redid it for me.. and it cracked again after 3 months :furious: . on the invoice it said there was no warranty, so iwas pretty stoked that they redid it for free.

those cracks on the door are like a mm deep, maybe 1.5 mm in places, on the second pic, its just light surface cracking.

i need to get my car fixed so i can sell it..

please guys, any help will be appreciated!! Thanks in advance

Wow...That is a really horrible paint place - I cant believe they can send out work like that...let me re-phrase that, Im not suprised they did such a terrible job, Im suprised they are still in business. I dont think it will be able to be repaired without a re-spray. :(

yea, me too, i'v told anyone who cares not to go to them. im gonna take it back to them sometime this week and b.itch at them. and i'l get a lawyers letter (haha my dads a lawyer) which should hopefully scare them. it's wierd coz everytime i went there aside from getting the quote, the owner was not there.

I wouldnt let them touch your car again, tell them you want some $$ money for the crappy job they did so you can get it done right by a real professional, then tell them to go to... :secret

good idea.. only thing im worried about is they might say that since its been a year, its normal wear and tear. well then, i'l show their shop some "normal wear and tear".

That is NOT normal wear and tear..paint does not wear and tear like that unless you take a hammer to it - the door picture almost looks as if it is not metal, and they didnt use the flex agent in the paint which they were suppose to. I would look into their process/paint/ and what they should have used. Go to another body shop and see what they would have done and show them your invoice or their opinion on that business. Something isnt right here...I would have your dad look into it or try to scare them into giving you your $$

yea, everyone i have spoken too, other bodyshops included have said the place i went to is notorious for doin a bad job. too bad i didnt find that out befor i sent it in.

i'v heard possible reasons for the cracking are:

*not enough hardener -in paint

-in primer

*primer wasnt allowed to dry enough before being painted

and now

*didnt use the flex agent in the paint which they were suppose to

is the flex agent the same as hardener??

sorry, im a noob here, dunno much bout paintwork..
