I am graduating to a makita rotory. If I can I would like to offer my PC for sale. Can the moderators weigh in on this?

Exactly. You need both machines.



Rotaries are great becaue they are fast. The reason they are fast is because they have the ability to move paint.



Rotaries are great on neglected finishes, and for removing RIDS (random isolated deeper scratches), but you would be foolish IMHO for using a rotary when applying polish or waxes / sealants, when a pc would be the machine of choice.
 
I apply all polish etc by hand. Howver the PC would be a great choice for minor marrs and light swirls. However, when I went to pull it out of storage I can't even find the darn thing. I think someone took it when I had some contractors here %$^&%#^&#!* thieves!



Well, if I find it I'll cross that bridge then.
