I applied KSG about a month ago but I had some sirls I still need to get out. I thought it would be a few months before I was ready to buff those swirls out. But I got some pads and my 1000w light so I figured I might as well do it while the highs are still in the 70's

any help is appreciated

cool thanx so no need for dawn? Cause I'll just use my megs nxt soap and than hit it with 83 and 80 before kaio and ksg

It wouldn't hurt to clay the car before polishing. In fact, it's usually a good idea to clay prior to polishing to avoid catching any debris in the pad and swirling and marring the paint with those contaminants. That's just my .02 though.

Dawn doesn't really do much to KSG anyhow...

I will note that KSG is the only LSP I've ever had problems polishing through- I got a very tenacious residue that was murder to buff off. I ended up using some IPA to compromise the KSG a little and that solved the problem. If you have any problems, which I wouldn't really expect, just reach for the rubbing alcohol.

I think the same .

thanx for all the repliesguys I clayed the car about 4 months ago but I might clay it again after a plastic bag check

Lowejackson: use the qd to break down the ksg??

My apologies if I am misinterpreting the thrust of this thread. As a replacement for claying, a QD would not be effective but as an alternative method for cleaning up after polishing, a QD is a reasonable alternative
