GC wax is supposedly a synthetic type of wax (yeah yeah, broad category) and S100 is a carnauba. Neither is particularly durable, but I figured in combination, it might be OK. I tried it out, and couldn't determine much...I'll have to do some further tests to see if it actually worked (stripe a hood with just s100, S100 and GC, and just GC). My only concern is that the GC is too greasy to hold the S100. I also determined that I'm not a very good judge of paint, considering that the region (both front fenders) didn't look a lot different than the region I didn't work (basically everything else.)
What I did was Scratch X the fenders giving a spritz of Quik Detailer when it was drying up untill the abrasives seemed to go away some, then I used the GC wax and then S100. It felt a lot different, but the looks and repelling of pollen weren't much different than the part that I didn't touch at all (I think I used Turtle Wax finish 2001 a few weeks ago...not completely bad stuff)
Thanks for any help, whether it be bashing my methods or helping me modify my ways.
