Can anyone offer a Carnauba Jett review?

I've searched quite a bit, but was only able to find detailed reviews of Acrylic Jett. Please post any insight you have into Carnauba Jett. How easy is it to use? Is it as easy as a QD? Does it have any darkening characteristics? How long does it last? How does it perform over metal flake vs. light vs. dark colors? Are many acrylics involved as well, or is this mostly carnauba? Does it bead well, etc...

Carnauba Jett has a pronounced darkening affect and really good slickness. It isn't QD easy to use though. Spray, spread, continue to wipe until nearly clear, flip the towel for a final wipe. I've only used it on dark colors.

I've had it on a couple black Silverados-both washed conventionally-one that is outside 24/7 starting losing slickness around the 8 week mark (although towels still didn't drag) and beading started to fall off around the 10-11 week mark and the other, which is garaged at night was still reasonably slick and had good beading at the 12 week mark. I'd say for best results, apply every couple of months. The appearance seems to hold very well though.

Thanks for the insight. I have a few more questions if you don't mind:

-How well does it do with other products? I want to give this a try over RMG

-Any issues with ghosting?

-What other Carnaubas is the appearance comparable to?

-What would be your rational for pulling CJ out of the Scottwax treasure chest 'o products?

Side note:

-I wonder if anyone has tried to mix CJ with a good QD to make a QD on steroids.

I've only used it over Prime Carnauba, or as on the Silverados, over freshly washed paint since I didn't want Prime Carnauba to maybe help durability. Should be fine over most glazes though. No ghosting or rehazing issues, appearance is most similar to Carnauba Moose. I'm still playing around with it to decide exactly where it fits in.

Thats Carnauba Glos

At the moment all I can add to this is

Use even less CJ than you would AJ, if you spray too much on, especially on glass, the surface will go all sticky

About six drops on a front guard is all you need, even one normal spray is too much I found

You hit the nail on the head. less is more. been using CJ on my black daily driver and have been very happy with the results. using the idea with less product it really is not all that hard to work with. can put 2 coats on the car in no time :getdown
