Calling on the Prima experts

Hey, I am looking to invest some time/money in buying Prima products. I have already had several top folks say they are very good, and from reading the reviews, the product descriptions, etc, I am ready to buy. If you think it takes me a long time to decide, u b right! I use to buy the flavor of the month and end up trading, selling or blowing up bottles of stuff I didn't like. Now, I am a lot more cautious with the currency. So, I'm thinking definitely Epic, and Hydro MAX spray, Hydro wax as you dry, Infinity Tire Cream, and Prima Nero VRP protectant. I'm on the fence on a few others - and that's why I am asking my detailing friends for your advice.

I have only used Amigo and Banana Gloss. I even did a small review on them.

Banana Gloss doesn't last very long, but it fill like a MOFO and looks good while its there.
Amigo is one of the better cleaner/glaze products out IMO. It can cut and clean up minor marring and such but also can fill depending on the pad you chose. I also have used it under sealants successfully.


 
Yes sir. For me it was....

1. Amigo
2. Hydro max
3. Maintain with wax as u dry

Does not get any eaiser than that.
 
I use Prima products and very satisfied with the results.

You can't go wrong with the following.

Amigo.
Epic.
Hydro wax as you dry after every wash.
Nero inside and out dressing for vinyl, rubber and plastics.

IMO, all of the above will keep your car looking good.
 
Prima stuff is really good. Nero is more an interior dressing, Infinity is for exterior parts. Amigo is the best product in its class. HydroMax is a must have.

You may want to skip the leather stuff and the wheel guard stuff.
 
Thanks, I am sorry, I forgot to mention that I had tried Amigo and really loved it. It amazed me getting waterspots off of a black truck. Now, these were fairly fresh and the truck was new so I know it's not THE waterspot remover of the year. But it did a great job!Now, I am just waiting on another big sale so I can get my 2015 supplies ready.
 
I agree about with all of the comments on the Prima products so far. I love Hydro Max, Hydro, and Amigo as well. Nourish is a pretty decent leather conditioner. I can honestly say that the only product in the entire Prima line that didn't impress me was their soap. Everything else is top notch plus the bottles are really cool :)
 
I've used Nero on tires often and it looks good and lasts two to three washes with no streaking.

It's labeled for tires and does a decent job.
 
Another endorsement for Amigo, Hydo Max, and Hydro wax as you dry. Not previously mentioned is Slick, which is one of my favorite products to use after washing. Leaves paint glossy and super slick...not just a marketing name. It works.
 
+1 on the Slick. Seams to help in reducing static cling as my car does not seam to hold dust as much. As mentioned, leaves is very slick and glossy.

Prima Wax as you dry users : Can I spray Prima on wet surface after rinse/wash and air dry with good results ? Instead of using a towel and rubbing/touching surface of clear coat. I know the instructions state to gently rub as you wipe/dry, but I'm sure some of the product goes on the towel, which makes me think that if I use air, it's not being absorbed by a drying towel and potentially leaving more protection on surface(?). My main objective is to be able to wash,spray prima all over exterior ,maybe wait a bit then air dry with DP Blower.

Banana Gloss IMO is a slightly mixed bag. It is extremely quick and easy to use and a fresh coat looks great. It fills as much as some glazes and will do quite a bit for an imperfect surface. The downsides are that it isn't very durable and it is a bit of a dust magnet. It also mutes flake slightly.

Slick is great, one of the very best quick detailers. Slick, like many of the Prima products just doesn't streak even if you're sloppy and over apply. It doesn't have the amazing water behavior of SONAX BSD but it is less fussy to apply and feels much slicker as the name implies.

Hydro Wax As You Dry seems to darken slightly and it also fills a little (not as much as Banana Gloss). It is one of those products that looks better, i.e really good, twelve hours or so after you apply it. Again, pretty much streak proof.

I haven't used Epic, Infinity or Nero.

Hydro Seal and Hydro Maxx have been pretty well covered. IMO they look great, not that glassy sealant look, and they are well above average for not holding dust and pollen.

I actually really like Hydro Wash (Mystique not so much). It isn't a super powerful cleaner but it has very good lubrication and when I encounter a really dirty vehicle I tend to pre-treat with an OPC anyway regardless of which shampoos I'm using. For normal dirt Hydro Wash by itself is more than adequate and it doesn't seem to leave much behind, a quality I vastly prefer to shampoos larded up with gloss enhancers and third rate waxes and protectants.

Amigo you've used. It doesn't fill as much as some glazes but it is a very good paint cleaner, is easy to use and doesn't seem to savagely decrease the longevity of most LSPs (obviously you wouldn't use it under a coating or SONAX PNS). My favorite glaze.

IMO most Prima products are vastly under appreciated.
 
For Epic users, how is it in regards to trim? Staining? Or does it wipe clean? Been hesitant to use as I have alot of trim on my car.

No. You have to wipe it with a towel. Just use it as the directions state and don't try to reinvent them for "more protection".
