There is no cure!
well its 7:50 am here in south florida and the weather is finally great! no rain for the next couple of days and i just finished washoing the 330i down . having just recieved my vanilla moose and blue nattys i was planning on doing:

optimum polish with a finishing pad via rotory 1200rpms
vanilla moose
nattys

when i kept thinking all last night how vanilla moose has cleaning properties and maybe the OP wasnt gonna be needed. now i know VM and Nattys are both products that would go great over anything but i feel as if i would like to clean the surface a bit before applying.

would vanilla moose via pc at speed 4-5 be good enough to say i started from scratch and didnt just put more products on top of products. and if so,

couldnt i just get away with maybe using vanilla moose every 45-60 days and topping again with my carnuba of choice? does Vm become more of an effective cleaner when used by machine (preferably pc)

thanks all u vanilla mOo se experts!

OP has a heck of a lot more kick then VM. Definetley start with OP.

couldnt i just get away with maybe using vanilla moose every 45-60 days and topping again with my carnuba of choice? does Vm become more of an effective cleaner when used by machine (preferably pc)VM is much more effective via PC for cleaning, it also gives you a more even coverage. I would rather see you use a sealant atop the VM, like Opt Spray Wax or Four Star UPP., then top with the Nattys. This way you are unquestionably going to get your 60 days in, then recoat with Nattys. But make sure you get your base coat of sealant down first.

well what im trying to alleviate is basic paint cleaning prior to protection. my paint has no real defects. i can almost say its in perfect condition and thats a lot for a non-mettalic black paint. what i want is to just be able to use vanilla moose as the cleaning step before a wax. that way i shine it up and prep the surface well for the wax. and since my car is like i said jet black im really favoring the carnuba glow a lot better. its garaged over night and anytime im at home, it sits in a parking garage at work, and the girlfriends house has a hig canopy. so as for the s. florida sun, my carnuba is well cared for. even 6 weeks would be fine. i dont go long without sprucing it up anyway with qd+ or another application

im just asking because i havent really used vanilla moose before and i wanted to see how effective the cleaners were when used by pc or rotory via finishing pad 1000rpms.

If you don't have any defects that need correcting VM will be all you need as a pre wax/sealant cleaner. VM has some light abrasives in it and cleans the paint up nicely. It will even remove minor marring when used with a PC. In your case I think using OP before VM is unnecessary and would be over kill. No need to remove more clear coat than you have to.

Now knowing your surface is pretty free of defects, VM would be a great pre sealant treatment, as its very effective for light cleaning and light marring, swirls.......... You'll really appreciate what it does to black as well.

I'd like to see some pics of just the VM ..It made my 325ci look awesome . I know I wanted sealant on after but man it looked really good with VM only..

well thanks again guys. not knowing what the answer would be i still went ahead and just used the VM folled by nattys blue. lets just say it was awesome! only reason i didnt post pics was because i dont wanna be a picture whore but man, if u guys could only be there. from about 25 feet away in full direct sunlight the black on my car was soo black it looked animated. literally.

nattys blue is by no means like reg nattys. much deeper and richer, with just a little less gloss (just a little).

ill keep my reg nattys for dark greys and rich red colors.
