Call from Yellow Pages?

So this morning I got a call on my work phone from Yellow pages apparently. The guy seemed a little iffy and said he got my number from "somewhere", he said he couldn't remember where. He wanted to get some information so he could post my number in the Yellow Pages, and talk about website hosting, which would be extra. I told him I could meet him in the next few days, and he is going to call me back. I was just wondering if this was something you guys have gone through or is this some sort of scam? Thanks

And to clarify he was adamant about meeting somewhere rather than just getting my information over the phone, which I thought was odd?

I wouldn't bother with the Yellow Pages unless you do wholesale type detailing. I dropped my listing several years ago due to the overabundance of price shoppers-you know the type... "I have a '92 Grand Am and want to know how much it will cost to have just the front seats cleaned".

They want to meet with you in person thinking that face to face it will be harder to turn them down.

Haha ya, they dont know me very well :ignore

The guy hasn't called me back if that tells you anything, I am a full time student as well so I'm not sure that I would really enjoy a giant increase in pace. I guess we will see if he ever calls back

:chuckle: I kid you not, I had someone with a 1998 Grand Am call for this exact thing. I ended up booking the shampoo :)
