Yep ,also while it's on the newpaper you might want to hcange its position every so often so the wax isn't concentrated in one spot

i have an oxo car duster and gave my california car duster to my brother( the one i like). it is a good tool. i feel it is a little more dense and the little stringy fingers seem to work better in my opinion. they both work fine but i prefer the oxo.

if you do the the streaking - what is the best way to remove?



A QD (as it contains a solvent to make it liquid) should work, if not try a diluted IP
 
Yeah, a good QD ought to do it. When I first got mine and thought it would be ready to use ( took surprisingly longer than others I have) I did get some streaking. Megs Final Inspection did just fine getting it off and I waited several more days, putting the duster back on the newspaper and realizing I should rotate it's position on it every so often. That worked, no streaking, although I would never dust in direct,intense sunlight.

You will get streaking on a warm to hot surface even from an older duster.
 
Yes, as stated, I would never dust in direct, intense sunlight. Also, it's probably a good idea to keep away from warm to hot hoods, let them cool down first before dusting, although I've never had that issue and I have a turbo.
