California detailing may get easier?

CARB is stupid. I hate those people. Theyre really not looking out for the environment or anything. Everything is money driven.

Ever watch "who killed the electric car"?

Do they really have any test data as to drivers of black cars polluting more than others? I highly doubt it. In theory, yes it sounds right, but someone in a white car driving around with their AC on is worse than someone in a black car with their windows rolled down.

I dont even own a black car, but I think thats a stupid choice to try to take away from someone.

Is the EPA going to come in and ban black clothing due to the fact that people sweat more, therefore buying more bottled water and in turn creating more pollution since plastic takes thousands of years to degrade?

CARB is stupid. They make these ridiculous requirements for most cars, but all the Ferraris, Lambos, Bentleys and other cars they drive are exempt because they don't make a certain number of cars per year. So that means that the WORST of the cars get to slide by the stupid rules they have.

Anything to take people's minds off the fact that their state government has ran their state into the ground financially.

EDIT: You bring up a good point though, it's totally unconstitutional.

That's just absurd... Ex hippies turned yuppie trying to change everything that they feel is not right... pfft. It's also just one more way that the government is slowly taking away peoples' rights from them and they don't even realize it. This is exactly the reason I don't live in the US anymore and never will again... not so "free" anymore if you ask me.

Guess we'll all be driving silver cars here in the "golden" state or have to cover them with some sort of reflective film? The flip side to this is someone gave them money to do this study?

I hate hippies. LOL

Anyone want to bet one of those hippies owns a sunglass factory? Because the paints will need to be more reflective and all the drivers will be blinding each other. lol

how much of a cars internal temperature is really decided by the paint color and how much by the size and number of windows, lack of tint, angle of the windows, sunroof and size of sunroof?

Will a mini with it's giant sunroof with a white top really stay cooler than a black car with no sunroof? The latest thing with cars seems to be the big sunroofs with nothing but a perforated piece of vinyl to cover it.

The percentage of the cabin that is covered by painted metal on a lot of cars is very small. A lot of them are mostly glass. I don't think a lot of heat from the sun comes through the doors.

holy crap that's insane!... so im guessing if this happens you can't re-paint your car to black either... or maybe they will ban paint booths as well...

You'd think they'd be smart enough to allow tinted windows in the front, therefore dramatically cutting interior heat buildup. But no...let's just ban a color. That makes sense.

I live in the SF bay area groundzero for libs!!!!!!!!:bawling:, I am a native Californian but there are times I would like to get out(everyday) we pay for everyone's problems and the illegal alien issue................ commonsense is gone and for the first time I am really concerned about the state of leadership which of course is a oxyMORONonic description(leadership) or lack thereof.
