California Car Dusters

The CCD looks very heavy and rough. Over here in Australia, we have the Pledge Grab-It duster. It is a dry duster that works on static and is very light and fluffy. I am going to test it out to see if the fine fibers are able to cause any marring on the paint, but the fibres are so light, even lighter than bird feathers!

Here's a pic of the package. I'll take a photo of the duster itself later.

I've had both the big CCD and the little CCD for about 13 years now. I rarely use the big one as my car never really seems to get just dusty. It always seems to be either dirty or not dirty never lightly dirty. I do use the little CCD on my dash all the time. It's great. I always make sure to use it before applying Interior QD or protectant. This way the dust on the dash does not become mud when sprayed.

I have been using my original CCD for years, never washed it. Works better than new, too.

I have only noticed marring on my car when I used the CCD on a hot surface. Mazda's paint is fairly soft and marrs easily. Just make sure the surface is cool or just slightly warm to the touch and you shouldn't have any problems.

The big duster has a little heft to it, but that is very functional when you drag it across your car's surface. It requires almost no pressure. You just let it glide and polish by itself. Really quite amazing how it works. Someone gave this a lot of thought and deserves whatever royalties they get from the patent.
