C D 2 Engine Detailer

After reading of CD2 on this forum in the spring I searched every AZ in the area for it. Even checked with a manager to see if he could get it with no luck anywhere. Finaly bought some online. Yesterday I was in AZ to get some stuff and low and behold there on the shelf were 6 cans. The counter guy said something about a 6 month tracking in inventory so it takes a while to show up. Pays to keep checking back.

agreed. half of the time, some of the employees don't pay attention and know the inventory (would rather check the computer, than look out on the floor as well). i'd rather go and check in person, it beats being on hold forever and i know exactly what to look for...

I agree with checking in person. I just wish there was an Autozone close by. What is this CD2? Is it a degreaser?

Its like a acrylic sealant for the engine bay materials and such. Its pretty good stuff, I just tried it last night for the first time. We shall see how long it lasts.

I found it last Friday at the local AZ for the first time in years after reading comments here on the board. tried it out over the weekend, and now I understand all the zeal for it. I did a thorough washing of my wife's G35 and my BMW 540 engine compartments, and then applied the CD2; they both came out looking like new.
