Terran do you remember the compound we used on the van hood? Rick said it was the most agressive I dont think it was the diamond cut like we used on the s10 hood

No, what we used on the s10 hood was milder. I think the one we used on the van was one of the high temp products, but I'm not sure...I think it had some grit to it, so something like PB's SSR3 or maybe megs medium cut or something. I would bet that most situations wouldn't call for something so strong.

Sorry it took me so long to check in about the class...I had a great time. Very informative. You're right Terran, the wet sanding part was pretty cool. The results were amazing. I highly recommend the class to anyone who isn't sure about the rotary in's and out's. It was also nice to meet a couple of fellow Autopian's. I'll probably be back to shop some more in the store-front soon. Lot's of good stuff there...

jimtriz..

I picked up the Collinite Insulator wax when I was there. I've used it on a friend's truck, it left a great finish. but what I really am interested in is the durability that I've heard so much about. You are close by...just a jaunt down Rt. 20!! Talk to you later, and thanks for the suggestions!!

Jim.

Yeah, I got the Vector machine from CMA. It's a great machine. I also got the velcro backing plate and two foam pads, one white and one yellow. I am thinking about getting the yellow wool pad from the CAR store. I'm getting more confident with it everytime I use it. I haven't tried any wet sanding yet though!!! LOL How about you, got rotary yet?
