Well no need to find a polishing process for my 2004 Tundra. On Feb. 23 my buddy and I were up in Traverse city MI hanging out. We went up to the tip of the Grand Traverse Peninsula to do some sightseeing. Was a gorgeous day high 40's low 50's and sunny so the snow was really melting. Coming back down the peninsula we came around a slight corner and hit black ice, skidded for a good 150-200 feet and hit the ditch backwards. We flipped down the 20 foot deep ditch and landed on the wheels 5 feet shy of going into the Traverse City Bay/ Lake Michigan, which was a good 5-8 foot drop off down a cliff. My buddy walked away without a scratch I however lacerated my flexor tendon in my middle finger and cut the rest of my hand up pretty good on the sunroof when that shattered. This was all the Saturday before our finals, we are on trimesters. Because of my finger I had to fly home and have hand surgery asap so I had to postpone my final tests till now. I am in a hand brace for the next 10 weeks and have physical therapy 2 times a week. Can’t use my right hand for anything really, which is tough when that’s your dominate hand. :wall 3 months till I have full mobility back. I have a long road ahead but we are lucky to be alive. The truck held up extremely well, only sheet metal/ cosmetic damage. The mirrors were still attached. 51% totaled but my parents didn't want me having a truck that had been rolled so we sold it to a salvage company. Miss the truck like crazy
and am kind of regretting my purchase. I bought a 2006 GMC Envoy Denali liquid silver with grey leather. Nice truck but you can't beat the quality of Toyota... I have already had it in to get squeaks and rattles fixed and its got 19000 miles on it, the Tundra had 50000. Oh well.. I do like the truck though. I will post pics soon of the Tundra.
