Thanks Sully. I really like Ardex stuff. Sadly, I was buying that from the Car Brite guy too lol. I will check around and see if that can be purchased online.

Invest in equipment as well, steam and a power washer can totally reduce chemical usage. Also message some distributors for better pro savings/pricing. There is no sustainable way to detail for profit with list pricing at many online sources.

I have both. At one point when I was running a production shop several years ago, I had a $4000 Vapor Chief steamer. It was an unbelievable machine. Sadly, my shop was broken into and my steamer, buffers, and many other high dollar items was stolen, causing me to shut down. I was stupid and didn't read my insurance policy closely, and it turned out that it only covered clients cars. I had 2 guys working for me who had been let go a couple weeks prior, so you can draw your own conclusions there. I had no money to speak of, no equipment, and so much overhead that I couldn't afford to start over, so I shut down and went back to work for a dealership. Much less stress but I hated it more every day. I slowly rebuilt my arsenal, clientele, and reputation that those 2 had almost destroyed. This took years. I finally drew my final straw at the dealership when I caught them stealing parts off of my truck to use on one of theirs, and I walked out. Honestly this trade has exhausted me but Im determined to charge on. One day I'll get another high powered steamer, but right now I have a McCullough that serves the purpose for the most part. I'll step off of my soap box now lol.
