Next time you're in Maine, look me up, I'll introduce you to a handful of them within a 20 mile radius that do it on a daily basis - retail.

i was thinking tenth, the last digit oin the odometer, and im not trying to be funny, its not humor. My point it, you said even if theyre over 100k miles and i said you cant find one under 100k for the price you mentioned....in other words- dont plan on finding one under 100k for that kinda money because on that budget a honda or toyota with well over 100k is all you're going to get.
 
Go to Autotrader.com and do a 100 mile search for Hondas/Toyotas/Mazdas etc. and select less than 100,000, less than $3000 and use 34957 as the zip code. There's a bunch that come up. Maybe not in your area, but there's plenty down here that surface every week.
 
I'd think a darker coloured car would help your goals too. A nicely cleaned black or red car always stands out much for me than a silver or lighter coloured car.

I said the same thing to my wife when I first mentioned this idea. A black '98 Civic Si might be the perfect candidate. :har:



I recently just did this last month for the first time. I bought a 95 honda civic 2dr for $1500, it had 110k on it. I did a small tune up, oil changed, plug, wires, air filter, then smogged it. Then i detailed it, turn around and sold it for $3200 the next week. I made a decent profit and it was kinda fun to do. Ill porb do it again towards the end of a month, most likely another honda.



That's exactly what I'm talking about. I've owned 4 Hondas so I'm leaning that way too.:2thumbs:





I am only talking about a few cars a year. I would be doing it more for the challenge and the fun than for the money. I like hobbies that turn a profit. Over the last 4 years I'm up about $9K in online poker. Detailing cars is better exercise than online poker.

32 lanes, wow. I havent been there in 7 years. The fact that high-line is 2x per month just demonstrates how F'ed up the credit market was. Did EVERYONE lease a Porsche, M-B, or BMW?





Adesa is like a 3/4 scale Manheim. They are all over the country.
 
Didn't realize there were so many people on Autopia with wholesale and auction experience aside from just detailing.
