I know alot if not most of you pros have them. I'm thinking of getting my own printed up and was wondering what I should get put on them

If anyone is willing to post some pics go right ahead

and maybe you catchy business slogan.

Other than that, putting price sheets and details about what you do is more in line with something you put on a brochure. business cards should be simple. You don't even necessarily have to have a car in the background. Just simple text and maybe a nicely designed background and you have a great business card that does what it needs to do. If you want to give details about what you do, then build a website and include the address on the card.

I was thinking more in the lines of this card so much I might order a few hundred

The card is nice but the back ground really doesn't speak of car detailing

The statement "low prices" doesn't do much for me

Mine was more about experience level and quality delivered

I think that most people know what detailing is at least from the wash wax stand point

Not to sound offensive but in America the car pic works, out where I live anything that says low prices works. Its just where you happen to live.

Which is it then? Do you want the opinions or do you already know your market well enough that they're not needed. In America if it screams low prices, one automatically questions the quality of the product. Few things in life are both good and cheap.

How about reasonable prices instead of low if you insist that it's really needed?

I wouldn't put anything about price at all on the card..this gives you the chance to see the car or talk to the person about it and can give them a price there....Thats just me but I would have to guess you would have a better chance at getting the business

Exactly!!! "Low prices" is relative. What I may consider low, the next person may say not low enough. I don't care where in the world you are, some people want the cheapest, some want the middle and the rest want the best. By putting 'low prices' you are going to put off those that are looking perhaps for quality. Since quality and price tend to be conjoined. You may inadvertantly eliminate potential customers without even the chance of talking too them directly. Whereas, if you do not put anything referring to pricing- all interested parties will need to contact you regardless of their budget.

On the flip side, I don't see the Ferrari dealership put 'astronomical prices' on their cards. :)

heres my card, i acutlly get more them a few compliments on it (not to brag just saying) it was made from one of those online ones were you can built it youself type thing. So heres my card

Mike,

I did the same thing and made mine myself and I felt it came out better then the company who I had make me some. However mine did not come out as nice as yours.

I really like your idea for a business card.

How about "competitive prices" instead of "low prices". Or "detailing solutions for any budget", which is false of course, but better perhaps.

Another thought is:
"High quality products"
and
"Reasonable prices"

That should appleal to the majority of the people

Good luck with your business

Here is the business card design we went with. My buddy Matt (listed at the bottom) took the picture of my truck. My partner and I gave him some input and this is what he came up with. This is the finished product. You can see more of his work at FINEPIXEL DESIGNS & PRINTING
