Business Cards...What do you think about mine?

Well I'm in the works of designing my own cards.

I want something simple...

What do you guys think?

Front (Main)

BusinessCardFront-1.jpg

Back (Info)

BusinessCardRear-1.jpg

:o

I love the look of them, the image on the front really goes well with your company name. :bigups

A different font may make them easier to read though.

Font for both sides or which side?

:thx

Font selection is difficult to read.

Nice images for the front & back. However, you have a Alfa on the front and then a Audi on the back. Not a deal at all, but might be nicer if both were the same car.

On the Front, have you tried a white font with blue outline vs. back with the blue?

Back of Card. Might look tider if the right justification was lined up. Have you tried dropping the blue shadowing on the rear text. Might look more crisp.

the first set that you have i'm personally not digging the font or the color of the highlight around it.

The back flows good but i personally really like the last set you posted up with the red audi and the back side of that card as everything is very crisp and clean and the font is very nice and legible.

Might have to have you design me some cards LoL. What program are you using and where are you getting your photos of the cars?

yea i would too, but i have no website right now. and dont intend to until i become better at this profession. :thx

Don't need a web site to get that e-mail address. You just need the domain (~$15 a year) and e-mail hosted (e-mail AND a web site is about ~$60 a year, so it's obviously less for e-mail alone).

IMHO, and I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but @gmail.com just looks like you're not a professional. I think both versions of the card look really great (and stand out quite well), but the e-mail address just ruins it for me.

Hmm 15$ huh any links to good domains?

might consider it for 15$

If you really want a printed front and back, one possibility would be a exterior shot of a car then on the back maybe an interior pict?

or

Have a second batch and mix and match, one with an exterior snap on one side with your contact info on the back and the second design would be the same only with the interior picture.

Just a couple ideas

I think the pictures look great on the business card. BUT, the font says "young kid" business owner in my opinion. I don't know how old you are, and sometimes the younger guys can be better detailers than some of the veterans. When you're dropping of a $250K car for a detail, you need to look established and qualified. I would choose a font that is more elegant, or sophisticated looking IMO.

that has been taken care off. I purchased the domain and will have the e-mail updated.

That is a good point. I am only 24 on the virge or hitting 25. so pretty young and still have a lot to learn. i do see your point, however i don't want to come off *** too fancy and scare away the lower end of the spectrum. I think i will work on my skills first and let the quality speak for it's self. Maybe the website i have pending will be a bit more neutral.

But i will keep playing w/ fonts and maybe find something i like and still achieve that look you are referring too.

Thanks Guys !!!

True, and of course your demographics are different than mine, but are there really THAT many $250K cars ? :nixweiss Realistically, won't the OP see more Jettas, Golfs, Accords, Camrys, Nitros and Chargers ?

ha ha already did the check out.

the domain is mine :)

thanks

Since you are already familiar with gmail, set your domain up with Google Apps Standard. That way you can use the familiar gmail interface with your own domain, no additional hosting needed. You can use the calendar as well with Google Apps and then sync it to your phone (if you have a smart phone).

If you need help PM me, my other business is Managed IT Services and I run you through the basic how-to pretty quickly.

As far as the email address, for a business card I would use firstname(@)reflectionzautodetailing.com and leave info(@) for your website. That way people that you hand your card to know they are contacting you directly.

---

The business cards look ok. If it were me, I would only use the stylized font for the logo only. Everything else should be something like a sans-serif font (Helvetica, Segoe UI, Calibri, etc.), without any outlines. Business cards are small, and that font isn't really suited for that kind of use.

Also, on the first car, the "detailing" reflection is backwards. If you are using photoshop, select the word "detailing" then go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical.

Finally, spend a couple of bucks at a photo stock site and ensure you can actually use the image for commercial purposes. I personally prefer fotolia.com. As you can see a quick tineye.com search of your first card turns up tons of results

, the second one not so much, but plenty for someone to notice eventually.

When purchasing stock photos pay attention to the sizes. You want it big enough to cover the entire card @ a full 300DPI (most images displayed on the internet are 72DPI).
