Here is an example of a basic detailing package;

1– Polish and Wax By Hand

2– Clean and Protect Chrome

3– Clean and Vacuum Interior

4– Protect Leather and Vinyl

5– Clean Tires and Wheels

6– Clean Windows

7– Optional UV Polymer Wax

yes that is what i would put on a flyer or a Pamphlet. I would have a checklist of the details of such a service for the customer final walk through. This reinforces the value of your work. allows you to discuss any issues the customer has before you leave.

Money really isnt the object to me in detailing...

Then maybe you are in the wrong forum.

By definition, a Pro does something for money.

We only offer three options to our clients:

Interior Only

Exterior Only

Complete

When it comes to detailing, we don't know where to stop...

For example, every interior "only" gets a courtesy wash, including wheel wells and tire dressing.

Be proud of your work, and price it accordingly.

In my demographic I really need a package that gives a paint cleaner which will at least remove some swirls and clean the paint nicely because I know most people wont go all out for the ultimate detail (full swirl removal)- For the Full Detail Im thinking of using Prime strong for customers

JimmyBuffit- Sorry if I offended you by putting this post in this thread, I felt it would only get answered in this forum topic...Sorry again.

I also have the problem of not wanting to stop on a detail, I always want to check every minor detail and dress trim etc even on basic washes ...so I decided with my packages - my prices may be higher for packages, but that is because I dont offer packages where things are left un-done...I want my detail to look exactly like that, a detail - not a car wash - hopefully this makes sense to people

reason I posted what I did is because people on here are always saying 3-4 hours to do a full detail on a sedan....well it took me 7 hours for a sedan and I couldnt figure out why....maybe its because it took me 6 hours to wash, clay, polish, polish, wax the outside alone...

with a detail that people ask for, is it usually a #66 on the outside with a topper wax, or a glaze and a wax, or two step polish and wax....

After thinking long and hard, I am going to get rid of my basic car wash package, at least for everyone to see. I am going to put a little note on my flyer

"Basic Car Wash Package Available To Repeat Customers"

Also instead of scaring off customers with prices I am going to put this on my flyer if you guys think I should:

"For pricing information please call to discuss the condition of your vehicle or schedule a free estimate. Prices are determined based on the condition of the vehicle to ensure a fair pricing for customers."
