Building my detailing kit - what am I missing?

You guys are right I haven't worked my way down to tire care yet. I wasn't sure if brushes are considered to abrasive for tires these days...

Most brushes seem OK on most tires, though the soft/summer-only tires *can* be too soft for them; I can't use my usual tire brushes on the S8's summer tires as they scratch them up something awful, but I don't have that problem in any other cases.

I bought the Meg's #20 and then changed my mind and went with the wax. Can't return it cuz it was online purchase. I will probably use the sealant on the silver car though.

I'd use the 476S on both myself, and I sure wouldn't be surprised if it lasts a lot longer than the #20. But it might be interesting to try using both products and yeah, I'd use the #20 on the silver one if you're using it at all.

So if you were to do that which would go on first? It's too late for the black car it has two coats of 476 but the silver car still needs done.

Sorry, I was unclear; I did *not* mean to use both products on the same car, but rather to use one LSP on the black vehicle and the other on the silver vehicle.

So if you wanted to try out that #20 you could put it on the silver car and see how it compares to the Collinite on the black one.

If you *were* to use both products on the same vehicle the sealant (#20) would go on before the wax (476S).

I have no experience with the Collenite waxes, but I've easily seen ~3 months durability with #20 in our harsh Canadian winters.

Thanks! Don't worry the terry towels won't touch my paint. They are just for misc. clean up etc.

I want to get all set up so when I don't have to run out to the store when I am doing routine maintenance as well as detailing work. The goal is to have everything handy so I can work efficiently whenever I have the chance which is usually last minute on a moments notice. If I need to go buy stuff my window of opportunity to wash or detail my vehicles may be gone for that time!

Good! I was a little worried...

A little birdie told me that Friday would be a good day to look into your UDM polisher kit and other items. A close eye on the sponsor forum next week will tell you more. ;)

Ah,OK, it might work out well for him then. It'd be sorta interesting IMO to see how the two vehicles fare side-by-side.

I get a *LOT* longer than 3 months (winters included) out of my 476S, but there are just *so* many variables that I dunno how well one person's experiences will translate to somebody else.
