Nice wet pop in the afters. :)

I like looking at the easy jobs too, not every detail has to be a 50 hour marathon, right?

Very nice work indeed! I have to admit I wouldn't have know what kind of car that was if you hadn't told us.

How are you using Tarminator on tires? Spray it on and wipe off? Do you let it dwell or agitate it with a brush or anything?

I spray it on a terrycloth rag and wipe the tire real good to remove old dressing, dirt etc.....

Exactly Scott, this job was quick and most importantly profitable but by no means a gouge to my customer.

I'd be scared to wipe a microfiber over that thing... much less put a polisher on it! Thanks for letting us see the world through your eyes (or at least your camera lens)

Nice work and nice car.

Great job, too bad it was raining though, I know that thing would really pop in the sunlight.

I've got a few maintaince jobs to post up too, think I'll post them some day.....:buffing:

Not to sound jaded but it is a car.... well a 1.75 million dollar car (lol) I work with a speed that it's not to fast and careless, but conversly I am not scared of the car either(note: I did have to call my insurance agent yesterday and tell him what was on the schedule for today).

I have heard the tarminator trick about tires, im anxious to try it out. To be honest i have some tar inside of my wheels...would you recommend Tarminator for that? I have heard rave reviews and horror stories, so as a consumer im very confused :) What uses do you have for it sir?

Jordan, my dad is Sir...... lol anyway I use Tarminator and Zenit from Stoner because they are safe, of course a full polished wheel you should be careful with any solvent around this type of wheel. Any chrome or clearcoated wheel you are safe.

That is definitely something I learned. If you get in the mindset "omg omg omg can't waaiitt to work on such a sweet car!!" you'll screw up. But if you just do what you do best, it doesn't really get to you. I've had people ask me before "don't you love working on those cars?" and I say, yeah... but it's 'just a car'. If it were MY car, now that's a different story ;)

Looking good, too, Bob!!

haha im sorry didnt mean it to offend you, its a habit..im only 24 so everyone gets sir....just out of respect thats all. Great to hear, like i said ive heard mixed reviews, i have cleared wheels so im glad to have found something locally to take care of it. Sorry to ask another question, but how do you handle the overspray being an aerosol can...i see you are doing it in your garage, i was considering applying it right after cleaning the tires the first time with an apc.

yes that is a cool car! You are using an orange pad to polish? I thought you listed a blue pad, was this just for a certain spot?

Cheers,

GREG

You are a pro, with insurance. I am barely in the realm of weekend warrior borrowing a friends 7424 (until I get my own next month). As with anything, there are levels. I know more than the average Joe taking his car through the gas station quick wash. You have likely forgotten more about detailing than I'll ever learn.

I do my cars, and a few friends cars. You do $1.75M Bugattis... It's all relative!

No orange pad in that shot, I was applying the lsp with a lake country 100 ppi pad which is Goldish yellow.

I spray the tarminator on a terry cloth towel, or you can use a microfiber towel(one designated for dirty parts of the car) this way no overspray on the wheels and wipe the tire and or wheels.:think2

Slobber, slobber, drool, drool! Nice one, Bob! I prefer doing maintenance details also... more money in reference to time spent. I just can't charge the kind of money here for full details like in other parts of the world... the industry here is still very primitive :(!
