I think I am going to go for the PC buffer from coastal tools, but Have a few questions. The one that griots sells has that plate that doesnt let heat transfer through it, Does the one coastal sells have this? I am thinking about just ordering that one and using the kit that griots sells, since his products although a bit pricey are very good quality. Any opinions on this plan?

Have been looking through the search, as I should have before, but still am confused. The pc seems like it'll be good from coastal, but now I am trying to figure out the best accessories to start out with. Basically I have the 4 cars in my family that everyone owns to detail, all in different conditions. So I figure im going to need wax, different polishes, differnet pads, and something to remove wax. I have read that the bonnets to remove wax using the PC arent good at all, which is a bit depressing as I was looking forward to that making it easier..Im on a budget, but want stuff to get the job done, is there any type of list of exactly what I need out there?

Check on www.properautocare.com. They have some kind of PC kit where you can get the backing plate and pads and things like that. You don't need to use the PC to buff the product off. I do it by hand and its nearly as fast. Its not like using a PC is going to do anything but save you time at that point. You are just buffing off excess product. You can just put the polisher on a microfiber towel and do the same job that a bonnet can do anyway. Check our sponsor and see if they have a starter kit for the PC. I think they do and I think www.premiumautocare.com has one too.

The Griot's PC has been discussed before in the past, and it's more gimmick than anything else. The backing pad has holes in it because it was originally for the sander vacuum attachment. Remember the PC started off life as a sanding tool. Save your money I say.

I agree that a kit from one of the places Jngr mentioned are a good way to get a wide selection of accessories for a reasonable price. Unless you have specific accessory needs it's usually a good start.
