Brown spots on paint - won't come off (pics)

I'm a newbie here referred by another member on the Subaru forums.



After washing my car this morning, I found that some spots won't come off :furious: They seem to have worked their way into the paint somehow as they're smooth when you go over them by hand. The clearcoat seems intact as there doesn't seem to be any hints of it being eaten through. It's not sap from what I can tell, but they did appear after parking under a tree this week. I've tried claybar numerous times and there are no hints of it even coming off. These spots are pretty unsightly on a white Subie :(

Thanks for the feedback - how easy is this stuff (ABC) to use? Will it go under the clearcoat and attack these brown spots? Do these look like "Rust Blooms?" I've been reading up on what rust blooms are on this site. Had never hear it before - maybe just a different term. These spots are not rough in any way. They are very much beneath the clearcoat.
 
They are not rust blooms, however, the only thing I can think of is some type of industrial staining, only way to tell would be to look at it under a 30x lighted magnifier. Assuming not too much damage has been done, ABC should help, if not remove the problem.
 
I can't really say *what* the spots might be, I've seen things like that from all sorts of contamination, including from leaves that sat on the paint too long. Rust blooms are usually much smaller, like pin points of rust.



I found the ABC easy enough to use. You might also look into the similar system from FinishKare. I don't know if these decontamination sytems will really solve the problem, but IMO they're certainly worth a try.

I do think that the spots are some sort of stain from the trees I parked under. Just seems weird they stained the way they did.

Located in Tallahassee, FL - it'd be great if someone close enough had this ABC stuff for me to try out.
 
The ABC is on special right now, and I would recomend picking it up. It's $50 plus shipping for 1 gallon each of ABC(keep in mind C can be used as your regular wash soap and it's very good IMO), 2 wash mitts, a lighted magnifier, a 12 oz "ketchup" squirter for B and an applicator for B. Just two wash mitts, a gallon of good car wash and a lighted magnifier would set you back almost $30 alone, so I think it's a very good deal. And if you find you don't like the ABC I'll buy the unused portion from you as I use it on every detail I do now :)
 
I just went to order the ABC stuff and the special they were running is over even though it's advertised on their Web site. I called them and the guy said it's gonna run me close to $80 now. Maybe someone could send me a little of each bottle so I can try them on these spots? I could Paypal the money I suppose.
 
I could send you an 8 oz. sample of each whcih is enough to do a whole car and you will have 3-5 oz. left of the car wash to see if you like it. Just give me a couple of days to find the bottles. I'll only charge cost of the bottles and shipping. Send me a PM to remind so I can check it when I get home tonight.

I live in Tallahassee, I dont have any of the ABC product, but I can try to help you solve your brown stain problem. Let me know, I will have some time this weekend.
