Broken Frame??

Took my truck (95 Dakota) into the garage with a emmisions problem and while diagnosing the problem the mechanic found a broken frame. It is broken on the pasenger side just behind where the control arm attaches to the frame.

Anyone hear of this happening? The truck has neaver been in an accident and I am the only driver.

I went to check it out and found all the mechanics standing around admiring it. "It doesn't have a scratch on it" "Looks like new paint. Can't beleive it is original paint"
 
I couldn't find anyone here that would weld the frame. Must be a liability issue. After much thought, I have a new frame coming (should be here today). Yep, it's expensive.
 
I've only heard of that happening on a lifted 4x4 that actually went off road. I've heard of mounting points on suspension pieces breaking during normal use, but that is usually a welding defect.
