What is going on with Miracle Towels, I received about 6 today and they SUCK!!!!

I have been using this product for a couple of years now, and the current towel is frankly awful....I can't even tell which is the plush side....they have no weight to them, cloth would be a better description than towel. These towels are WAY to expensive for the manufacturer to pass off this poor quality as acceptable....If I want poor quality micro fibre, I can buy that at my local hardware store for about $4. Has anyone else noticed the quality fall thru the floor.

When I first bought them, the fibres were short, but the weight of the cloth was very heavy.....They then seemed to switch the style to an almost towel like long plush fibre (good for buffing)...The current towel is flimsy & short fibred (great for catching debris and scratching the paint surface

NOT HAPPY

Try the towels from YoSteve if you are unhappy with the Miracle Towel. His are relatively plush, but excellent feel and non linting. Great for paint or windows. I've tried them all and his towels wins by a fairly large margin.

YoSteve's towels are awesome!! I have washed mine about 5 or 6 times and they are as good as new!! I have 8 on order from him now..Can't wait to get them in:D

I find real differences between the towels for thickness and lint. I've heard nothing but good about the towels from YoSteve. I purchased mine from neatitems.com. I liked the first batch so well I ordered more. They are the thickest I have used and no lint. They are super soft and absorbent and have held up to about 6-8 washes so far. They look like they'll last forever. I won't waste my money on cheap MF towels any more after using these.

if you order towels from either Neatitems or YoSteve. I highly recommend the giant 2' x 4' sized towel - AWESOME!!:xyxthumbs

I agree the Neatitems towels are great. I bought 2 and then bought 10 more on the GB. I haven't tried the Yosteves towels yet but I plan to at some point.

I have even purchased a three pack of MF from Griots and they don't even compare to the neatitems.

Hey Prinz-

Remember you mentioning in another post that you've used the MF towel for drying your person.. Did you use the ultrasuede or terry MF towel?

I have the terry - and the wife nearly confiscated because she liked using it after a shower! I figured I'd jump in on the group buy, and get an ultrasuede one for her, and another MF for the car.

Or - just two ultrasuede ones... Decisions, decisions.. Wish I had a small ultrasuede MF for comparison.

I don't see it mentioned above so I'll add another supplier of high quality MF towels and that is www.tacscar.com I bought a half a dozen light blue towels and they are a nice heavier weight plush MF towel. :xyxthumbs

I have both the terry and the suede in the large size. For showering at the house, I prefer using the terry for drying as it's way more absorbent than the suede. BUT, the suede is a super towel to take traveling. It folds up into almost nothing (you could put it in your pocket) and dries so quickly. We've taken them backpacking, down to Mexico, to the beach (they don't pick up sand like the terry does.) Haven't found much use for the large suede on the car though but, everyone should have a smaller suede in their glove box.

I too purchased/received six MF towels from Tacscar. Green with nice edging. So far, I have only used them on windows but they work good - like an MF towel should :D

i'm with shortcut here.

not that i don't like the others mentioned, but TACSCAR MT's rock.

they're heavy and really plush.

my 1st choice. my 2 cents.

Has anyone ever repaired a broken, cracked dashboard and had it come out decent?

Yup I broke one right in half trying to get a sticker off the windsheild deep in the cornerBoo Hoo and a new one is 300.00.

The owner is a friend of mine and isnt upset about it( the car is old and hes going to sell it ) but still the dash was otherwise perfect before I wrecked it

The crack is pretty clean , about 6 inches long but completely broken in two.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out!

What kind of vehicle is it? I can speak out of expirence on my Porsche 944. The dash is actually covered in vinyl. Once you peel off the old vinyl you can repair the crack and then recover the dash. Its possible, not easy, but possible. When you said a new one is 300 is that a new new one or a new used one. I know for my porsche a professionally recovered dash it would have cost me over 800. I know i could have found good used ones for 400-600. If i could have gotten a good one for 300 i would have taken it, i didnt spend that much on materials but it was time consuming. GL

GL, its a 80 something Chevy Camaro.

The price was for new but the owner can get it at cost through the shop he works in.

Im not even sure I want to mess with this and make it worse :scared:

I could see 300 for a 2000 camaro but a not 1980 those cars have not reached the point of being worth anything, I would by one out of a junkyard clean it and give it to him unless this is some kind of show car.

You will need to find a mobile interior repair or a shop that does interior repairs. Keep in mind that once the repair has been done you will need to repaint. I have done interior work and in some cases you can fix it for less then what the part and labor would cost. But also keep in mind that if the person that does the job is not patient or neat can lead to a bigger problem. Hope all works out.

PS: I always will advise any mobile detailer when starting a detailing business to start collecting leads of dent guys, paint & body tints, Leather interior work etc. Give them referrals so if some day you have an issue you can call them.
