Brochures

jngrbrdman, I'll have to stop by for sure and we can go over some of the wrinkles. Thanks again.

The Fuzz, I would like to send forth my most sincere and humble apologies for any perceived offense given towards mullets, rest assured no offense was intended.

I would like to emphatically profess my loyalty and dedication to the mullet.

Fuzz, I too suffered when Alan Platt failed to be elected to my student government. I was the first to lift my voice in a cry of outrage!!! To think that one with a mullet so great could fall so far. I cringe at the very thought....

The mullet is an icon for all of us here at detail city...thank you. :-p

Sir... That post deserves a new avatar. :lmfao I now crown you the King of Cheese. :rolling :hah :LOLOL :lol :lmfao

I am actually in the process of doing some sketches for a logo.
How did you come up with the roof outline, i like that a lot. Did you make it?
Im decently skilled in Photoshop, so I can do most of the stuff I want, i just cant design stuff very well. Does anybody know of any websites with ideas, templates, etc.

That was just freehanded. I picked a brush and drew the general outline of a Corvette and then sized it to fit over the 'Immaculate' part. The actual idea from that came off of Dave's original brochure. The car was facing the wrong direction though. If you read from left to right then that is where the car should be facing I think. Artisticaly I think that is the proper way. I wanted it to hang over a little more than the original too.

I've looked all over the internet for stuff to teach me more about photoshop. Most of the things I've found that helped were Styles and Actions. Those are very helpful. Other than that, there really aren't templates for this kind of thing. What you could do is take a design you like and then recreate it. Then tweak it here and there until it works with your needs.

Just returning from a auto mechanic seminar, they bring up a nice valid point with should be mentioned here:
Customers do picture associations rather then word associations.

Point in case... EVERYONE has seen this and knows it has something to do with autos. Without looking it up, do you know what it means?
